Background
A technology provider specializing in electrical submetering required urgent digital forensics and penetration testing after experiencing unauthorized access to its website. Solution
XEye Security conducted a two‑phase engagement. First, digital forensics and incident response were performed to investigate the breach, identify exploited loopholes, and remove malware or persistence mechanisms. Evidence was preserved in a legally admissible format. Second, black box vulnerability assessment and penetration testing were carried out on the web application, closing all security gaps and validating remediation through structured retesting.
Results
The root cause of the attack was successfully identified and eliminated. All malicious artifacts were removed, and attacker persistence was neutralized. Black box testing closed critical vulnerabilities, ensuring the platform was hardened against future exploitation.
